MIPF 2024

Sharing practical knowledge and experiences to advance the 2030 Agenda

In October 2024, UNIDO will organize the second edition of its Multilateral Industrial Policy Forum (MIPF) in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia. Recognizing that the acceleration of industrial development is essential for achieving the SDGs, MIPF responds to the pressing need for robust industrial policy frameworks and informed decision-making processes.

Guided by the motto “Making Industrial Policy Work for SDGs”, MIPF will focus on advancing effective industrial policy solutions and tools to tackle sustainable industrialization challenges. It will address three key themes:

  • AI, Digitalization and Automation in Manufacturing
  • Energy Transition
  • Sustainable and Resilient Supply Chains

Building on the success of the 2023 edition, which drew over 500 participants in a hybrid format, MIPF 2024 will take place in Riyadh on a significantly larger scale, with a strong emphasis on in-person participation. This will facilitate collaborative problem-solving and encourage informal discussions which are expected to yield valuable insights and expand networking possibilities.
