MIPF 2024

In October 2024, UNIDO organized the second edition of its Multilateral Industrial Policy Forum (MIPF) in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia. Recognizing that the acceleration of industrial development is essential for achieving the SDGs, MIPF responds to the pressing need for robust industrial policy frameworks and informed decision-making processes. 

Guided by the motto “Making Industrial Policy Work for SDGs”, MIPF focused on advancing effective industrial policy solutions and tools to tackle sustainable industrialization challenges. It addressed three key themes: 

• AI, Digitalization and Automation in Manufacturing 

• Energy Transition 

• Sustainable and Resilient Supply Chains
